Program Objectives
The Professional Diploma in Insurance (PDI) is designed for learners who wish to excel in their career through education programmes in the field of life insurance, general insurance and financial planning. This Programme has been developed in conjunction with practicing industry specialists and provides specialist education and professional accreditation for the insurance industry.
Program Features
- Provide a pathway to professional membership level of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), the Chartered Insurance Institut(CII), and academic qualifications in Master of Insurance and Risk Management and MBA studies

Flexible modular structure with choices to complete within 4 years

8 modules of 30 lecture hours each. There are normally 3 trimesters each year commencing in March, July and November
- The modules are included in the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) Reimbursable Course list under the name of Advanced Certificate in Insurance under code no.23F04065-3 (www.sfaa.gov.hk/cef). Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of the fees, subject a maximum sum of HK$10,000.
- Proof of passing the PDI examination of at least one module in a particular year will be granted 10 IA CPD hours, for a maximum of 6 years. Please refer to the CPD information sheet as shown in the webpage of the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (http://www.oci.gov.hk).

Applicants may apply for Recognition of Prior learning or up to 4 Credit Transfer Exemptions for prior equivalent study.

*Pre-requisite requirement for students taking the module of 797I2 Life Insurance Underwriting and Claims: at least a passing grade of module 796I2 Life & Health Insurance or equivalent or at least with 2 years’ relevant working experience related to life and health Claims or Underwriting. |
